Cloudsoft: Multi-Cloud Management Platform

Cloudsoft offers a Cloud Management Platform, the core system for defining the Cloud provisioning and hosting requirements of applications, in the form of blueprints, and applying these blueprints across multiple Cloud providers.

Cloud Solution Blueprints

Through a solution design tool AMP Cloudsoft brings 'cloud native modelling and management to any application', which as their blog describes is available from popular providers like Azure.

The purpose of blueprints is to pre-define the combination of different components needed to install a particular application. For example to operate the popular open source CMS WordPress you need an underlying 'LAMP' stack, a combination that is repeatedly needed for each new site and thus ideally provisioned via such a repeatable template.

Developers and architects can compose blueprints and policies in the drag-and-drop Designer, or by writing OASIS CAMP, TOSCA or Docker Compose specifications, supporting a Cloud Solution Design process.

An always up-to-date catalog of open source and community-contributed blueprints and entities is available within AMP, with an integrated QA Framework automating testing of blueprints against target infrastructure.

Going Cloud Native - Container Service Blueprints

In particular there are tempates for the Cloud Native scenario, such as a 'Container Service Blueprints' like a Docker Swarm or a Kubernetes Cluster.

Cloud Service Brokers

The Cloudsoft suite also includes a Cloud Service Broker platform, enabling enterprise applications to leverage popular 'PaaS' (Platform as a Service) capabilities via Cloud Foundry integration.

Managed providers then leverage these combined capability to power their Cloud hosting services, such as:

  • Atos
  • BT
  • Virtustream

PROS
  • Developers and architects can compose blueprints and policies in the drag-and-drop Designer, or by writing OASIS CAMP, TOSCA or Docker Compose specifications.
  • Design applications for non-stop operation without trivializing architecture or constraining your processes.
